the feel is simular to nfs15 as far as cruising would go, but the amount of cars is just staggering

05-12-2017 19:18
you should get the full copy, i did too, not bothered with the dlc, just the full game. and this isnt filled with nfs kids crashing everybody but they actually drive nicely in it. map is small but it sure doesnt feel like it all tho i dont see us cruise

05-12-2017 19:02
and i had the same problem with it in the demo with the g27, not with the t500 and tweaked settings its much better and actually more sim like then arcade. and all the cars handle different too. really not bad at all

05-12-2017 19:01
you know they have adaptors for it? 2 x molex to combine into a single x6 power connector for the card... i had to do that too lol

05-12-2017 19:00
as soon as i can figure out how to record ill make a vid for the settings, dispite the map beeing smallish this is even better then nfs2015 was as far as handling goes. @ ralph, maybe time to install the gtx950? if you dont have the x6 connector for power

05-12-2017 18:34
my game plays on ultra settings np but I took it down a notch set it on high. lol Smile

05-12-2017 18:31
.. i wish I could settle her down a bit more but I think I can tolerate it. May even grab a full copy.

05-12-2017 18:29
My car was exactly like Don's was super jerky handling, even after setting sensitivity to zero it was bad. that wheel damper made the game somewhat enjoyable for me...

Donnie I just noticed your video card is PCIe 3.0 x16 but your mobo only supports PCIe 2.0 x16. I'm guessing your video is working ok? not at full potential?

I know it's ok to use a PCIe 2.0 x16 video card in a PCIe 3.0 x16 mobo but wasn't sure how it worked the other way around.

Reason I mention it I been looking around for cpu, mobo, ram combo's and came to see your build that's when I noticed it.

PCPartPicker

EDIT:

I just read that PCIe 3.0 x16 will work just fine in PCIe 2.0 x16 motherboard, they're backwards compatible and you shouldn't have any performance loss. Smile

I cannot even tell if my SSD is working, just see that it says:
Your system is functioning normally - in the Intel Rapid Storage Technology program that I can open from the Windows Control Panel list Smile

Cannot find any Windows programs that can monitor the SSD. Spent hours googling in the past for one. lol

Ralph68
Be,

According to your pc spec's above you have a Samsung SSD so you should be able to use Samsung's Magician.
Although I don't know what version ssd you have so I don't know if your ssd is supported.

I have tried Samsung's Magician but it does not see my SSD. Searching google it would appear that Dell use their own firmware for it so Samsung's software does not work. Some people have changed from Dells and then report that they can then use the Samsung software okay, but I am not going to try updating the firmware just for that. The Intel software reports it showing it's being used as a cache with size etc., so it would appear that it must be working Grin

And on the matter of TDU2 - the pc server has been down for a week, so not sure if they will bother to re-set it Angry I love this smiley.

Ralph68
Yea Be I wouldn't mess around with updating the firmware either I'm sure it's fine. Smile

I haven't logged on TDU2 for a week or so I didn't know the server was down? That's the main reason I haven't been on as much as I usually am. The server is complete shit! Angry Last time I was on there were people I was cruising with in my group that I couldn't see or they would be there and just stop showing up. lol The server was doing some crazy stuff.

IMO, I noticed the server getting worse and worse with each unofficial patch update. That's just my observation, I'm sure there are others that won't agree with me but it's to coincidental to over look.

Anyway I hope they come back up, I'll search around see if anybody knows what's going on. I hope the server contract isn't up? Shock

I mentioned ordering a Kingston V300 SSD 240Gb for $129.99, well newegg had another 48hr sale so I ordered a Kingston V300 SSD 120Gb for $69.99. Got them both for a great price imo. Soon as the 120gb arrives I'll be setting up a dual boot setup with the 240gb and using the 120gb to install a few games and software. My current dual boot HDD is horrible so I'm anxious to get it all hooked up. Grin

My PC crashed just over a week ago, and no matter how I tried I could not get it to boot. Said MBR was corrupt.
I tried using a Command prompt to reset it, did not work. None of my images would restore, found out since that using a WD 3TB external drive will not work, so transferred the images to a another WD 2TB external drive, but still would not restore. Having spoken to 3 different Dell technicians, they all said that it is to do with the way Dell setup the SSD within the Bios, removing it and resetting the Bios the image would now restore but no SSD can then be added. What the f*** have Dell done. Ripping my hair out now Angry

So I have now purchased a Seagate 2TB SSHD drive and put Windows 7 on that. Used the original Seagate 2Tb drive as a clone drive for backup. Have tried it several times now, all works okay. Clone one drive to the other, swap the Sata leads from one drive to the other and reboot. I am using the new SSHD drive and the system seems just as fast as the original that was using the Samsung 128GB SSD - so what was that SSD doing ! lol

TDU2 runs better on this setup.

Have ordered a nVidia GTX670 card, should arrive in the next few days. LoL - spent all of my Christmas money now on that new drive and graphics card. BUT - hope to have a super fast setup Grin

Ralph68
Geesh Be sorry to hear about your pc troubles, I'm glad you finally got it all straightened away. That's why I always build my own. Dell, HP, Gateway ect. all incorporate their own bios utility that ultimately ****s you! Angry By Building your own avoids all that BS nonsense and believe me pc's are not that difficult to build on your own, plus you get more bang for your buck.

The main thing is to read the motherboard owners manual, I read mine 2, 3 sometimes 4 time just to be sure I understand everything before I even start my build and if I have questions you always have the internet to research.

Good luck with the new hardware Be, you're going to luv that GTX670!! I also spent all my christmas money on upgrades for my pc mainly SSD's and they are well worth the money! Grin

Hope to see yea in TDU2 soon! TC Pfft

What I did not say in my last post was that I have put TDU2 on the Samsung SSD, have set it as another drive in the setup. Suppose I should have put the OS on it, but am not going to do any more changes now that it seems to be working well. In theory building your own system should be easy so long as everything is compatible. But I am not that brave Wink LoL that's girls for you.

May see you in TDU2 if we are both on line at the same time Smile

You TC as well.

GTX 670 installed - WoW - Grin

Have TDU2 with everything set to max in settings. FPS between 85-90 - but turn down the Environment Quality to High and FPS jumps again to about 100-105 - set off and it jumps to 125-130 so it would appear that is the setting with the worst impact on frame rates apart from the res setting which I have at 1920*1080.

The game seems to be more smooth to play now - but that might JustBe me - lol

Lol - missed that Ralph

That would be a nice system $2657.29 but converted to UK Pounds 1630

Just clicked the drop down menu for thier UK site, same parts from
UK suppliers 2072 Shock $3,381

How we get ripped off for products in the UK

Wow Be I never realized that, yea you do pay a lot more for the same build. I wonder if it would be cheaper for me to order the parts and airmail them to you? LOL Just a thought.. hahaha

EDIT:

Also noticed, if I order that build from Newegg it's about 200 bucks more, which is what I would do rather than order parts from all over the place and forgetting where I purchased what. LOL
